JOYCE R. LINES

M.D., F.A.C.O.G.

Board Certified

Dr. Joyce Lines was born in Charles City, Iowa and grew up on the family farm. She attended high school in Nashua, Iowa then went on to complete her BA degree in biology at Wartburg College. Dr. Lines received her medical degree from the University of Iowa and completed her OB/GYN residency at the Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn Michigan.

In 2000, Dr. Lines joined the Doran Clinic for Women. Delivering babies and caring for patients is an absolute joy for Dr. Lines.

​When Dr. Lines is not caring for patients you can find her spending time with her family or tinkering in her flower garden.

MARY M. ROTTO

P.A.-C

Originally from Albert Lea, Minnesota, Mary initially practiced from 1992-2000 at the Doran Clinic for Women until her family relocated to New Ulm, Minnesota. She moved back to Ames in 2005 with her husband and four daughters and rejoined the Doran Clinic for Women healthcare team.

Mary received her BA degree from Luther College and her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from The University of Iowa College of Medicine. She holds her certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

​In her free time, Mary enjoys summer days at the lake cabin in Northern Minnesota, walking her dog Boomer, volleyball, yoga and traveling with her family.

LEA A. HUSAK

A.R.N.P.

Lea grew up in Tama but currently resides in Marshalltown. She attended the University of Iowa where she received her BSN. Lea continued her education at University of Texas Southwestern where she studied to be a Nurse Practitioner. She holds certification through the National Certification Corporation as a Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner (WHNP).

Lea spends her spare time walking her dog, golfing, swimming and hiking. You can also find her working on DIY projects around her house.

ALLISON J. ENESS

P.A.-C

Allison grew up here in Ames. She received her BS in Nursing at Luther College and her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of North Dakota. Prior to working as a Physician Assistant, Allison was a nurse in ICU and general surgery. As a PA, Allison has experience in internal medicine, general surgery and urgent care. Allison is committed to the education and management of all women’s health issues at Doran Clinic for Women.

In Allison’s spare time you can find her having fun with her family, biking, jogging or reading a good book. She also spends time volunteering for the food bank and the Backpack buddy program at Gilbert Schools.

ANN M. GESSNER

Board Certified

Dr. Gessner grew up in rural Iowa and currently resides in Ames with her husband and daughter. When Dr. Gessner is not caring for patients or delivering a baby you will find her enjoying time with her family, in the garden, or creating a new scrapbook.

​After graduating Cum Laude from Drake University, Dr. Gessner went on to continue her education at Des Moines University where she received her medical degree. She completed her OB/GYN residency at Summa Health Systems/Northeast Ohio University.

​Prior to joining the Doran Clinic for Women in 2009, Dr. Gessner worked nine years in Marshalltown. Along with her clinical practice, she has been on the Hospice Board of Directors in Marshalltown, has served as the Chief of Medical staff at Mary Greeley Medical Center and is involved with several other hospital committees. Dr. Gessner’s patients benefit from her expertise in robotic surgery.

EMILY J. JORDISON

A.R.N.P.

Emily grew up in Gilbert. She received her undergraduate nursing degree through Mercy College of Health Sciences and continued her education through the University of Nebraska Medical Center where she received her Masters of Science in Nursing. Emily is certified through the National Certification Corporation as a Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner (WHNP).

When not working at Doran Clinic, Emily spends her time with her family and friends. She enjoys outdoor activities, movies and cooking.
