Dr. Carroll grew up in St. Louis, Missouri where she was an avid swimmer, horseback rider, and lacrosse player. She then headed south, where she attended the University of Miami and graduated Cum Laude with departmental honors in Neuroscience. She earned her medical doctorate at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC, then completed her OBGYN residency at Winnie Palmer Hospital in Orlando, Florida – a hospital that has over 14,000 deliveries per year and provides comprehensive training in GYN surgery. During her residency, Dr. Carroll gained extensive experience managing high risk pregnancies and deliveries, and performing complex surgeries with various GYN sub-specialists. She is particularly passionate about robotic surgery and the enhanced recovery that minimally invasive surgery provides to women requiring surgical management of GYN problems.
Dr. Carroll recently returned to the Midwest with her husband, and currently resides in Ankeny. In her free time, she enjoys being active, riding horses, watching true crime, and tending to her plant babies. She is hoping to adopt a puppy soon 🙂
